Job Title: Used Car Sales Manager
Location: Toyota Croydon
Salary: £35,000 basic + OTE £65,000–£70,000
Hours:

• Monday to Friday: 08:30 – 18:00 (with one fixed weekday off)

• Saturday: 09:00 – 17:00

• 1 in 3 Sundays: working with a day off in lieu for Sundays worked

Overview:

We are looking for a dynamic and motivated Used Car Sales Manager to lead our used car operation at Toyota Croydon. This is a high-profile role requiring strong leadership, a hands-on attitude, and a proven track record in a main dealer environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the used car sales team to consistently achieve volume and profitability targets

• Drive key performance areas including profit per unit, finance and add-on sales, and stock turn

• Monitor and optimise used vehicle stock levels, purchasing, and pricing strategies

• Set clear targets, coach performance, and inspire a team culture that delivers outstanding customer experiences

• Oversee all aspects of the used car display, merchandising, and digital forecourt

• Work closely with the Head of Business and New Car Sales Manager to align department strategy and support overall site performance

• Conduct regular performance reviews and support the development of underperforming team members

• Maintain high standards of compliance, customer handling, and vehicle presentation

What We’re Looking For:

• Previous experience as a Used Car Sales Manager or Sales Manager in a main dealership environment

• A charismatic leader who can motivate others, lead by example, and uphold high standards

• Hands-on, self-sufficient, and able to work collaboratively across departments

• Experience with high-volume used car operations and performance management

• Strong understanding of sales KPIs, gross profit control, and F&I product penetration

• Commercially minded with excellent people skills and a focus on customer satisfaction

• A full UK driving licence is required
