Is 2025 the year of normality for the Job market?

We are now three and a half years after the UK covid lockdown officially ended and we could all go back to the new normality. Working from home continued as a preferred option for thousands of workers as quite simply they had got used to being in their own environment. Fast forward to February 2025 and the jobs market is vibrant again, and the return to work is complete.

We have seen a huge rise in on site positions and a requirement for employees to be in attendance for their position now. More and more competition for jobs has started to show and people have now realised the working from home option full time is dead.

Employers have now got that positive atmosphere back in the workplace and staff days and nights out have started to happen again which in turn feeds the economy in other sectors. More productive communication in person is helping to drive exceeded targets and expectations, and help drive the economy forward in many ways.

Here at Octane Recruitment we are busier than ever with more and more high quality positions all over the UK becoming available, and our database of valid and skilled candidates is growing daily. This means that employers will get higher level candidates for their positions and more likely to be successful.

Our team is expanding to cope with demand and we have also expanded our RPO team and our temporary contracts department with more highly skilled people from the industry. If you are a company wanting to let us completely run your recruitment option for you then get in touch with our RPO team via the website. Equally if you want a temporary contract then Jordan is your man.

Salary is increasing and terms are improving as the country now accepts that being back in the office so to speak is where they have to be mostly when working. The automotive industry is one where on site is so important. A garage, a showroom or a public service, all areas where to put it simply, you cant work in your pyjamas!!
