Michael Smart

Hi, I’m Mike, and I specialize in RPO recruitment at Octane Recruitment, supporting the Jemca Toyota/Lexus Car Group.

I joined Octane Recruitment in 2024 after a successful career in estate agency and accountancy recruitment. Before making the transition into automotive recruitment, I was a Director of an Estate Agency in Surrey, where I honed my skills in leadership, business management, and client relations. In 2018, after relocating to Manchester, I moved into accountancy recruitment, working with leading accountancy practices across the North West.

However, my passion for cars and the automotive industry ultimately led me to Octane, where I now connect top talent with exciting opportunities in the motor trade.

Outside of work, I stay busy with my wife, Melissa, our two daughters, Annabelle and Sophia, and our energetic Cockapoo, Tilly. When I do get some downtime, you’ll find me playing golf, snowboarding, DJing, or gaming.
